Left to my own devices, I tend to worry too much. Since cutting way back on social media and news consumption, much of that stress has fizzled out, but I still succumb to worrying from time to time.

But the important thing to remember about worrying is: It accomplishes nothing positive.

If you are powerless to control something on a large scale (current examples includes Coronavirus and the stock market), then worrying just creates unnecessary stress, as there is nothing you can do.

If you have the ability to do something, then spending time worrying keeps you from making that impact.

Worrying about things is a common reaction, but it is neither a healthy nor effective one. Learning to avoid worrying takes practice, but it's one that is well worth the effort, even if it means cutting certain things out of your life.
